No, not the Onion. Conservatives cheer Papa John's for raising prices and cutting hours

On Friday, another shot was fired by conservative supporters of fast-food companies claiming to chafe under the requirements of Obamacare.

Rebooting America, a small but vocal group formed after the Nov. 6 election, has designated Friday as National Papa John's Appreciation Day. The announcement was made in support of Papa John's CEO John Schnatter's recent statement that the Affordable Care Act may prompt the pizza chain to raise prices and cut employees' hours in order to keep them from qualifying for health care.

Through the Twitter hashtag #IStandWithPapaJohns, the group is urging people to rush out and buy Papa John's pizza to show support, and to oppose the onslaught of social media attacks and informal boycotts of the chain as a result of its position.

As of Friday afternoon, the organizers claim to have connected with some 20,000 participants nationwide, with comments flooding the Facebook page of the "buycott" and the Papa John's page itself.

Go out and buy the more expensive pizzas!

If Obama found the cure to cancer, conservatives would boycott it.

if they're going to do what they did for Chick-Fil-A for every restaurant chain franchise owner that acts like an asshole, they will wind up eating at some of the crappiest places around and leaving the good food for the rest of us.

go ahead, keep eating this crap. Let's start a movement for every republican to eat a Pappa John's pizza every day for a month. Want to talk about a strategy that would ensure their permanent minority status. 30 days of bad pizza will have them keeling over clutching their chests in droves.

IMHO, Papa John's is way over expanded and is probably underwater already. Definitely a SELL. Definitely. Poor management. Sell. Definitely, a sell.

but any chance this hashtag can be swamped like the hashtag youknowyoursonisgay? Maybe #IStandWithPapaJohns to screw the American working class or #IStandWithPapaJohns to raise price on crap pizza for papa's own gain or #IStandWithPapaJohns as a selfish f*ck?

Loved how other hashtags have been commandeered for good!

Oh yes, it really is.

"#IStandWithPapaJohns to add a 30-car garage to the 22-car garage he has now."

"#IStandWithPapaJohns to screw over hardworking employees making him rich."

etc.
