OK, Texas.... Ted Cruz: Mitt Romney ‘French-kissed’ Barack Obama

Sen.-elect Ted Cruz believes Mitt Romney got a little too close to Barack Obama in the third presidential debate.

“I’m pretty certain Mitt Romney actually French-kissed Barack Obama,” Cruz said in a speech at the Federalist Society’s annual conference Friday.

Cruz said that conservatives failed to make their case to the American people, leaving Romney no choice but to move toward the president. “We didn’t win the argument, we didn’t even make the argument” throughout much of 2012, Cruz said.

But in the first debate, he argued, that changed.

This is what the Repub party banks on. They find extremists with spanish names, banking on hispanics not being the wiser about who these clowns are, and voting for the spanish name. The clown running keeps a low profile, sort of, so that he doesn't generate news indicating he's a tea partier. So only those who really spend a lot of time on politics know who these clowns are.

It seems to work, so far. The Dems will have to do a better job identifying these clowns in the future.

yet it did. Two of 'em. I am convinced it's because the masses of the hispanics did not know they are extremist rightwingnuts.

I got the flyers, the mailings, saw the ads, got the robocalls. Nothing at all was in them even to identify their party, much less their extremism. I know, but I'm a political junkie.

Most people are busy working, living, taking care of kids, etc., and not too interested in politics except for a cursory look at the news occasionally.

I'm convinced it was the hispanic name. Yes, I know they are hispanic. But that's not the point. They have to have the spanish NAME to get the votes.

Our local state rep, villalba, beat out Carol Kent.

I looked at the county results. A Democrat beat the Republican for every race, when there was a Democrat in the running. Except for these two: Villalba beat Kent; Cruz beat Sadler. Dallas Co. has a high hispanic population. It is also very blue now.

then that makes only one Democrat who did not beat out the Republican: Villalba.

I do not believe that my blue county would knowingly vote in a tea partier Repub, except for the fact he was spanish, and the masses didn't know he was an extremist.

I just re-checked, and you're right. Sadler won Dallas County. So that does change things....when you look at the results....maybe it's the fact that hispanics won't vote for a non-spanish woman?

How else can you explain the fact that whenever Loony Louie makes a pronouncement, one of the others has to come up with something even more ridiculous within a couple of days.
