John McCain and Pat Tillman

John McCain has identified 14 days as the significant time line in the White House's acknowledgment of the Benghazi attack as an act of TERRORISM (not the nuanced act of TERROR).

Let's go back in time to the tragic death of Pat Tillman. Just 14 days after CPL Tillman's death John McCain eulogized him as the hero of a firefight and not the hero of a tragic case of "friendly fire". McCain also discussed Tillman's death in various venues using the false information that he was given. It took over three years to complete the investigation into incidents that occurred during and after the loss of an American soldier.

Note McCain's comments that are under his picture in the linked article.

I've been infuriate for years by what happened and how it was wrongfully reported. Mistakes and errors do happen. The mistake resulting in his death is forgivable and, having been in combat myself, is understandable. However, to lie and mislead the family and the public about how a Soldier was killed is insidious.

I have a strong distaste for war and for how our military has been used, but I will always have absolute love and devotion to the US Army and its members. I will stand to any end for my fellow Soldier past present. This does nothing but sour my respect for the upper command echelons of our military.

I've read many in depth analysis about our military and, over and over again, the devotion and quality of our Soldiers is stressed as a huge plus. however, the same isn't said about the top military leadership. They have been cited as being lower quality over and over again. Need any examples? Just look at the current Petraeus scandal. The Tillman debacle is (unfortunately) another example.

The stories of Jessica Lynch and Pat Tillman did not have to be embellished.

Sen. McLiar is personally responsible for every incorrect statement that repeated in eulogizing Pat Tillman.
