Since the election I have been watching FOX NOISE. I can't get enough schadenfreude. It's patently obvious that FOX isn't a news station but a cable gathering ground for the most disaffected elements of the American electorate. They are out of touch, alienated from the modern world, and FOX is happy to keep them that way.
This is good for FOX but it isn't good for a Republican party that is at war with modernity and is losing the war and seeing their ranks shrivel.
Benghazi is the latest symptom. FOX is trying to turn a garden variety terrorist attack into 9-11, Pearl Harbor, the sinking of the U.S. Maine, and the capturing of the Pueblo all into one.
Lenin said the capitalists would sell the Soviets the rope with which they would hang them. This is what's happening at FOX.

(11,495 posts)Rush Limbaugh and Glen Beck are also in it for the money, huge amounts of money that they make spreading hate and telling lies!
If the GOP is really serious about change, and I really doubt it, the first thing they would do is stand up to these insane hate mongers and put them out of business. Of course they won't do that, so they can say anything they want, it will be nothing more then lying to the public in order to try and gain votes in future elections from moderates.
I really don't think it's going to work. Sure they have their brain dead base who will follow them anywhere, but those people are mostly old, and their numbers are not growing, they are dropping. The GOP has managed to alienate way to many people, and it would take decades to gain back the trust of those people, even if they actually became more liberal, which as I said before, it isn't going to happen!
