(1,968 posts)with their biased "journalists" panels and biased call ins (the callers are beyond unlistenable).
I remember them widely publicizing David Brock's bullshit article in the Amer Spectator about some Clinton "scandal." Brock later disavowed the article and the RW BS he spewed during that era. CSPAN just rolled on with the RW propaganda. Brian Lamb - fuck you.

(45,469 posts)The host has described polls showing how unified people view the Democrats and how divided they view the Republicans. And a poll showing that a plurality of repubs disapprove the ouster of McCarthy.

(2,508 posts)They don't hide any bias- they are identified as republican, democrat or independent and invariably, the republican callers sound really, really stupid.
As for coverage of the actual votes, I like the way CSPAN doesnt editorialize during the vote and keeps a tally with every name nominated on the screen the whole time.

(45,469 posts)As I type this, there are 425 of 433 members present -- 2 repubs and 6 Democrats are absent.
That means, if the numbers don't change, Jordan needs 213 votes to become speaker. Since there are 219 repubs present, it means he could lose 6 of them and still become speaker.
It's not likely, since he's lost the votes of 20 or more repubs the first two speaker ballots, but I really hope every Democrat shows up for this vote.
UPDATE: two more Democrats have checked in. Now 427 present, meaning Jordan needs 214 of the 219 repubs present. If one more Democrat shows up, Jordan will need 215 votes.
