shared borders and shared threats. This new Polish PM is correct. Either stick with their neighbor the Ukrainians or go down with it against aggressor russia.

That if Ukraine falls to Russia, either Poland or the Baltic states are next.

I'll tell this to anyone: Putin's Russia WILL. NOT. STOP. AFTER. UKRAINE.

Fail here, and there is a good likelihood at some point American troops in the 21st Century will have to repeat the sacrifices their grandfathers and great uncles made in World War II.

Poland's democracy was strong enough to get rid of authoritarians democratically. Gives me hope for Hungary, Turkey, and some other Western countries that have Right Wignfascists in power right now.

Right now I’m about 1000 miles west from Kiev and if Russia starts dropping a-bombs around here, I’m f**cked. I’m leaving in a couple of months and there’s no way I want to get stalled by him, the dictator. Let me leave first. You think migration is bad now, wait until that happens! No don’t. Stop it now.

There have been hiccups like disputes over favoured status for Ukraine in trade in agricultural goods and the border truck blockade (which Tusk has pledged to tackle as a priority), but in general it's been extremely generous and made moves to supply arms at strategic times which have shifted some of the logjams despite the political makeup of the previous administration.

Tusk is an incredibly experienced politician whose time as an officeholder within the EU and the contacts he's built up make him well placed to kick some ass if necessary in effective ways. I look forward to seeing him in action.
