Help bring to justice those who torture and kill cats.

Email from these good people: http://www.alleycat.org/

Help us raise $5,000 to seek justice for the cats who were killed. Contribute.

Last weekend I told you about two horrific cases of animal cruelty in Louisiana where Alley Cat Allies’ lead investigator, Jeff Dorson, is pursuing justice on behalf of the victims.

We introduced you to the 76-year-old man whose beloved four-month-old kitten, Kitty, was hanged in his front yard. And we told you about the volunteer caregivers in a neighboring town who were bonded with a colony of cats before they were tortured and shot at close range.

We know you’re just as outraged as we are about these heinous acts of cruelty and want the perpetrators brought to justice. Thanks to everyone who made a donation to our Rapid Response Fund, and please try again if needed—we’ve fixed the technical problem.

Join us in seeking justice for Kitty and all the cats who lost their lives. Please donate to help us raise $5,000 for a reward that leads to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrators.

Rush $10 or more to Alley Cat Allies and help us raise $5,000 to arrest and convict the perpetrators. Your donation is critical to supporting cruelty investigation efforts now and in the future.

We promised to keep you posted about these cases, and on Sunday we got an update from Jeff. I wish it were better news.

We learned that Kitty’s death was so shocking a sight that his already frail owner collapsed on his front porch in grief and was hospitalized for a week. Worse, the local police have no leads and are no longer investigating—they’ve let the case go cold.

That’s why Jeff—why Alley Cat Allies—is there. We’re stepping in to help where the police won’t, assembling volunteers to canvass the neighborhood. With your support, we’re doing everything we can to make sure that evidence is collected, residents are interviewed, and leads are followed. We want the perpetrators caught and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. We’re leaving no stone unturned in finding justice for Kitty and peace for his grieving family.

Help us send the message that Americans will not tolerate animal cruelty. Please give whatever you can. Click here to give $10 or more now.

We’ll keep you posted on Jeff’s investigation in the coming days.

Thanks so much for caring,

Becky

P.S. Jeff is in touch with the detectives assigned to the case of the dozens of cats who were so brutally killed in the other town. He has offered to assist them with gathering evidence. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more.
