I'm sure it's great if you're them. Work four days a week and get two weeks off every couple months.

Nice gig, if you can get it.

are not working during most of the weeks off. Or that they only work four days a week. I just think how hard it must be to air four shows a week of that quality of completely novel humour: it is rare that they make fun of something that has been circulating on the blogosphere. I'm actually surprised they don't take more time off. We don't want them to burn out afterall.

If I ever run for president my platform will be to limit their vacation time to 2 weeks per year, only 1 week during election years, shows 5 nights a week, and they have to start a Sunday morning show to run against Meet the Press, etc. They are only on the air for about 22 minutes a day 4 days a week. If burnout is a concern, then they need to hire a relief writers squad. Whatever it takes.

They have a responsibility to bring us the news, and this vacation thingy keeps interrupting the factual news flow, and I'm sick and tired of it. They took vacation this week, and you watch, I bet they take 2 weeks at Xmas and New Years. Such nerve.

It's no wonder we have a war on Xmas. Withdrawal symptoms from no eleven to midnight Daily Show and Colbert for up to 2 weeks at a time. This Comedy Central slacker attitude has to end.
