One answer might be for the government to offer a supplemental government plan which covers the kinds of things that narrow-minded religious fundie employers refuse to cover. Anyone could subscribe to it even if they otherwise have coverage. This causes some duplication of effort and therefore inefficiency, but it might be an answer.

The real answer is for people to either get over their fundamentalism or to at least realize that they have no right to force it on others.
