A three-judge panel in the U.S. Court of Appeals has rejected former President Donald Trump's claim of presidential immunity as it pertains to his federal election interference case.

"For the purpose of this criminal case, former President Trump has become citizen Trump, with all of the defenses of any other criminal defendant," the judges wrote in their 57-page decision.

"We reject all three potential bases for immunity both as a categorical defense to federal criminal prosecutions of former Presidents and as applied to this case in particular," the decision said.

Neil thinks scotus will skip this one. Judge Chutkin then can set court date for trial. Could be official in 2 weeks from now. Insurrection trial could be in spring!

Irrational: all arguments. This gives tfg 1 week to appeal to scotus. Goes to Judge chutkin feb 12th, and the trial could begin in april. This will not effect the merdelago classified case . It also doesn't stop georgia because georgia was criminal conduct. It also doesn't stop the NYC fraud case.
