I speak from some experience - although not with Harvard or Yale - and the majority of my law profs were NOT at all shitty or elitist. But ....

Some classmates I knew at law school who could hardly write a coherent sentence on their own often got better grades than I, who as a married mother of teenagers attended law school at an age when most of my peers were nearly 20 years younger.

My subsequent law career was a very satisfying one for me, primarily spent in public service, both at national and international levels.

I sincerely hope that theirs have been satisfying for my former peers. But if they have become like those you mentioned, I truly abhor them.

A so-called top tier uni doesn't necessarily mean top-tier products. As we all know, the true variable is the individal effort put in by the student.

She replaced a long time incumbent moderate Democrat who retired. I went to the meet up where he introduced his chosen successor and I liked him a lot, made GOTV calls for him. And when Stefanik inexplicably won, there were protests at her local headquarters from the very beginning. She never publicized her schedule since protesters always showed up. And back then was before TFG came on the scene so she was just a RW Republican, not the insane treasonous MAGA nut job that she's become today!

I attribute the change to her ambition. She votes against bills that could help constituents and like other Republicans, takes credit for the legislation if it passes. And she has the rare phone Town Hall where she blocks those who disagree with her or ask questions that she doesn't like. She now only answers to a constituent of one - at a local Republican meetup on election night 2022 she took pride to be the first to endorse TFG for 2024. And now she's become a national embarrassment!

I think she'd love to be VP, but will still run for reelection in the June Congressional Primary in New York.
That way, she can always back out anytime before the July Nominating Convention if it becomes clear that Trump isn't going to win in November.
Personally, my best result of this is for her to commit as VP for Trump, and then have them lose to Biden/Harris in November.
I grew up in the district she represents, and I'd love to see her gone.
