So, if Biden wins and Trump loses in the election

Will we finally be done with Trump? Think he will begin to fade away in irrelevance, or will be talking about a Trump campaign in 2028? I guess even if Trump fades away, we'll still be dealing with his version of Trumpist Republican party for awhile, aye? Think we'll ever get back to just having a WRONG Republican party rather than a bat shit insane anti-american one?

His brand is wrapped up in NEVER accepting defeat. He'll claim that it was all rigged. He'll issue a call to arms to his MAGA army.

UNLESS.... Trump can't finagle his way out of the Courtrooms. His first trial will almost assuredly get him convicted on over half of his 34 felony counts. Felony counts of that magnitude mean jail time. Trump will appeal, but it will be too late. While those convictions are on appeal, he'll go to trial on his next indictment. And by that time, he will have lost his liquid assets and will be forced to sell his properties, all the while, he'll have to pay more millions to more attorneys. Once this parade of bad vuggum begins, Trump's ability to gain more support will vanish, and he'll be awash in debt and more convictions.

If America doesn't want an "elderly" President in 2024, they're not going to elect another in 2028.

Ideally by then Trump will be eviscerated and we'll have both houses and done a tune-up on the government. If Trump isn't jailed, hospitalized with dementia, dead of stress/drugs/coronary and much less wealthy than he was an actually able to do so, he will have been proven never-electable and of little use to the people who are clinging to his greasy hem now.

They supported him this time because they see an opportunity again the president. When Trump loses in November, and particularly if he loses big, I think they will try to distance themselves from him and make him irrelevant. There are already some signs that there's some grumbling behind the scenes.

I don't think they'd want to risk losing three straight. Whether or not they can do anything about it is the question.

I have no doubt that the GOP would have loved to have Trump fade in obscurity when he was kicked out 2020, but they refused to do so because they felt as if they couldn't because of the cult-like base he has built. Hopefully him losing a third time will be enough to break the spell he has on those folks.

But until he's dead, he will never stop running his mouth.

So far the ringleader has yet to be held accountable and I expect him to do it again!
The next time, it will be far worse because TFG followers will have new weapons in their arsenal. And instead of Mike Pence as VP we have Kamala Harris.

He will still have a lot of Q-Anon support
but I expect those voters give up on politics and go back to pro wrestling.
I think that’s why the GOP has tolerated Trump so far. They need the Q-Anon vote to remain competitive.
When the MAGAs lose interest (post Trump) the GOP, as a national party will collapse.

Or at the very least, he'll be well into the throes of dementia. I'm sure his kids will put him in the cheapest home they can find. I picture him sitting in a corner babbling to himself with drool running down his chin and a full diaper.

Eight years later, and halfway through the term of his successor, no sign of imminent death in site. Drooling, mewling, meandering, pants-shitting dementia, sure. But not the death this country so desperately needs.

Not immediately -- if Trump loses again, then there's solid chance he will attempt another coup, and this time even more overtly than last time, because he really will have nothing left to lose. But I don't think he will get far with that. And he will not run again in 2028. He can barely handle campaigning now. Meanwhile, he's broke, his businesses are in the shitter, and he's staring down the barrel of multiple criminal trials, at least some of which he will lose, if not all of them. Joe Biden will not pardon him.

Pretty much as soon as this election is over, primary season 2028 is going to start gearing up. We have a lot of talent on our side, and there will be a lot of pretenders to the MAGA throne on Trump's side. But without Trump, where will Republicans go? They would need to find a candidate who can bridge the gap between MAGAs and RINOs, but what will likely happen isntead is that the party will continue its headlong dive into extremism.

Then it's just a matter of waiting for Don Jr.'s inevitable run for president...

But I can't imagine any scenario where he won't at least attempt "Stop The Steal Part 2" -- blasting to his supporters that the election was rigged and fixed, and riling them up to cause trouble again. And there's no reason to believe that he wouldn't be even more bold about it this time -- maybe including overt calls to overthrow the government.

His entire campaign this time around has basically been, "The same as last time, except without the dog whistles." He's leaning even harder into the cruelty and the chaos, practically campaigning as, "Yes I'm a Nazi, what are you going to do about it?" So far he's been able to get away with almost everything he's tried up until this point, so there's no reason to believe he won't try it again.

The fact that he doesn't hold the levers of power does make a huge difference, as does the fact that many of his foot soldiers have been jailed. However, his supporters still have full control the House of Representatives, unlike in 2020 when Nancy Pelosi was in charge, so I would not be at all surprised if they didn't try to do something crazy, like screw with the vote certification again and cause a Constitutional crisis.
