Christian TV evangelicals fire up Trump support with messianic message
By Helen Coster
March 22, 2024 5:10 AM CDT

NEW YORK, March 22 (Reuters) - "This is really a battle between good and evil," evangelical TV preacher Hank Kunneman says of the slew of criminal charges facing Donald Trump. "There's something on President Trump that the enemy fears: It's called the anointing."

The Nebraska pastor, who was speaking on cable news show "FlashPoint" last summer, is among several voices in Christian media pressing a message of Biblical proportions: The 2024 presidential race is a fight for America's soul, and a persecuted Trump has God's protection.

"They're just trying to bankrupt him. They're trying to take everything he's got. They're trying to put him in prison," author, media personality and self-proclaimed prophet Lance Wallnau said in October on "The Jim Bakker Show", an hour-long daily broadcast that focuses on news and revelations about the end times that it says we are living in.

"The hand of God is on him and he cannot be stopped."

In both the 2016 and 2020 elections, evangelical voters staunchly supported Trump despite claims of adultery and sexual misconduct, which he denied. With Trump now facing dozens of criminal charges as he pursues a second term, some Christian media are bolstering his support by portraying him as an instrument of God's will who faces persecution by his foes.

The hair-challenged prophet Elisha was going up a mountain to pray, and some children were making fun of him, as children are wont to do. They were telling him, 'Go up, Baldy! Go up!' So Elisha cursed them and the genocidal maniac in the sky obliged him by sending two bears to maul 42 of those kids to death.

The celestial psychopath also told David to conduct a census, and his faithful servant obeyed. Problem: David was supposed to be a mind-reader and deduce that the Psycho didn't really want the census. But did he punish David for messing up? Nope. He instead caused 70,000 people in David's kingdom to starve to death as a punishment for their king screwing up. 2 Samuel 24:15 and 1 Chronicles 21:14.

But those aren't the only examples. More of his murderous antics here:

It'll take a while to get through them all.

Read the words of Jesus, whose deeds fulfill the words of the prophets, and whose words supersede the concept of God as a loving God. There are at least 31 -35 verses of 16 books the NEW Testament about what/who God is, what God's attributes are.

we got a book of "Bible stories". Easier to read than chapter and verse.
A few parables, a few "loaves and fishes", and a whole lot of war stories from the Old Days. Kids loved the war stories (at least the boys did).

They left out the incest and rape, like
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lot%27s_daughters
"The daughters of the biblical patriarch Lot appear in chapter 19 of the Book of Genesis, in two connected stories. In the first, Lot offers his daughters to a Sodomite mob; in the second, his daughters have sex with Lot without his knowledge to bear him children."

When attractive male angels came to visit Lot, the mob (Sodomites, of Sodom) wanted sex with them. To protect the angels, Lot offered his daughters to be raped by the mob. His daughters later got him drunk and had unconsenting sex with him.

So rape and incest got sidelined, but the genocide committed by Moses' people (Jericho, e.g.) was all right. It's like tv: rivers of blood are clean and ok.

Every day before school and then on Sunday.
We said a lot of prayers of course.

No we never heard any bible stories or talked about the Bible at school.
I know my mother had a bible she kept on her bedroom dresser.
But no one ever read from it or talked about it. I think someone gave
it to her as gift and she was not really interested in it.

Both sides of my family are large Catholic families and no one ever talked about the Bible
or made reference to it. Including an aunt who was a nun or an uncle who was a priest.

I seriously thought the Bible was just for protestants.

...it's because some Republicans believe all the legal troubles Trump is facing are just like Christ's crucifixion.

This is pretty funny because if Jesus Christ Himself returned to Earth and started preaching what He did back in the day the current Republican Party would re-crucify him for being too woke.

Matthew 24:
4"Jesus answered and said unto them, "Take heed that no man deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and deceive many.
10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
11 "And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
25 Behold, I have told you before.
26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

1 Corinthians
18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
19... For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

2 Timothy
13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

James 2
25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

1 John
5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto ou, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not live the truth:

The sexual assault and adultery is a feature to them for Trump, not a drawback.

They love Trump because of his mistreatment of women, not in spite of it.
