Marjorie Taylor Greene Calls Out Mike Johnson's Faith

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Georgia Republican, has called House Speaker Mike Johnson's faith into question following the approval of the $1.2-trillion government spending bill for the 2024 fiscal year.

After months of delaying a government shutdown with stopgap bills, Congress managed to keep the government funded until September 30 after Congress passed two spending bills, including a $1.2-trillion bill that would keep agencies like the U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Department of Labor, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services funded.

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, on Wednesday, Greene said that Johnson "can't follow Christ and fund full-term abortion clinics. That's the inconvenient truth.
"And EVERY Republican in my conference that voted for the $1.2 TRILLION woke, trans ideology, DEI [diversity, equity and inclusion], Open Border Policy, abortion ABOMINATION omnibus that is upset with me, YOU should be outraged that your Speaker made you walk that plank for him in order to pay our military soldiers."

Especially Catholics more in line with the Jesuits, they are much more liberal.

I can’t get why any Catholics thinks Evangelicals are supporting of their Catholic beliefs. Evangelicals think Mormons are a straight up cult, but their opinion of Catholics is also very low.

Point is Republican religious zealots will all eventually end up fighting.

What does the Bible say about the unborn child?
It can be said with absolute certainty that ancient scripture does not consider a zygote or a fetus even to be alive, because it has not yet drawn breath.Oct 16, 2015

Bible's truth about a fetus, abortion - The News-Press
C.A. Farrington

https://www.news-press.com/story/opinion/contributors/2015/10/16/bibles-truth-fetus-abortion/74001632/

There is nothing in the Bible to indicate that a fetus is considered to be anything other than living tissue and, according to scripture, it does not become a living being until after it has taken a breath. Among other biblical verses supporting this truth are these:

In Genesis 2 , God “breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and it was then that the man became a living being”. Although the man was fully formed by God in all respects, he was not a living being until after taking his first breath.

After God formed man In Job 33:4, it states: “The spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.”

Nowhere in scripture can anyone attribute a position on the subject to Jesus.
But, anti-abortionists manipulate the wording in the old testament to "support" their position. It's essentially all BS.
And just for the record, a full term abortion is called birth.
No one supports even a late term abortion except in cases of serious danger to the woman's health, or in cases where the fetus is determined to be non-viable.
MTG is akin to a howling hound from hell.

She falls to her knees in front of a golden calf while self-righteously asserting logical fallacies as normative policy.

Ms. Greene, as Clement wrote addressing much your same position(s), 'lay aside your pride and arrogance, for it is better that you occupy a humble place in the flock.' You're not really doing that these days, are ya?

Besides I guess she never heard of the Hyde Amendment
Since 1977, the Hyde Amendment has banned the use of any federal funds for abortion, only allowing exceptions to pay for terminating pregnancies that endanger the life of the pregnant person or that result from rape or incest.Mar 14, 2024

Republicans are in favor of killing living babies and have done so.

Pro-life to conservatives/republicans is a myth.

The supposed pro-lifers cared naught when the state of Texas (republican gov, republican Prez) deliberately killed living baby Sun Hudson against the mother's wishes because he was an inconvenience to the state.

It is not a matter of life to the supposed pro-lifers.

It is a matter of control.
