(9,074 posts)Trump's lawyers are more or less arguing that what Trump's accused of aren't even crimes and should never have been charged.
I imagine the reference to "expecting results" is that Federalist Society types are expecting a judge who is a member to rule in their favor.
I do not see McAfee dismissing the case. He bent over backwards to split the baby in everything so as to avoid being responsible for the case imploding. He's not going to flip the switch now.
Edit for clarity: This hearing is the result of a motion filed back in December. This is basically just the trial resuming after the Willis/Wade detour.
