'Trump Ghostwriter Shares Trump SECRETS with Michael Cohen Mea Culpa'

&t=82s

'We welcome back to the show, Tony Schwartz. A former columnist for The New York Post, and associate editor at Newsweek, he was also a reporter for The New York Times and a staff writer at New York Magazine and Esquire. In 1985, Schwartz began interviewing Donald Trump to ghostwrite Trump: “The Art of the Deal” for which he was given co-author credit. Art of the Deal was published in 1987; some say it sold Trump to the public as a successful businessman. Today, Tony will help us understand more fully who Trump was back then and who he has become.'

My words: This is a fascinating hour. At the end of the discussion Tony Schwartz makes a statement about Trump calling for another uprising if he loses the 2024 election. And, to my mind, that statement provides at least one reason why Merrick Garland rounded up all the 'foot soldiers' in the first uprising. Those folks are now in jail and although it might not stop another uprising, it may mitigate it. VOTE, people.

Mr. Schwartz wasn't a ghost writer, he was hired to write every word of the book under contract. Also he signed an NDA and agreed to not reveal his authorship for 30 years.

The NDA ran out in 2017, and that's when Mr. Schwartz was finally able to speak up and tell what he knows about Chump without being sued and dragged into court. By that time Chump had already been elected president.

On DU we were sharing the stories that we learned when Tony Schwartz had finally come forward. Having retired a few years ago, I doubt that he has any recent contact with Chump or the family, but I'm happy to hear that he has kept in touch with Michael Cohen.

Somewhere in America there are several other authors who have done the same thing. They've written books and allowed Chump to publish them under his own name, and presumably those authors have also signed NDAs. In fact everyone who has ever worked for Chump has been forced to sign such an agreement to remain silent.

People know stuff about Chump and his illegal, immoral or unethical activities. There needs to be a way to strike these NDAs down and make it possible for these people to reveal what they know. I don't know what it would take, but it has to start very soon. Because Chump thinks he can get away with all of this.
