How many, besides me, are not surprised that djt's appearance at

a slain cop's wake...
was an unsubtly racist publicity stunt: The cop was White and the killer is Black. Although any murder is horrific...
When did djT ever display 'sympathy' toward cops who were slain or assaulted by his Jan. 6th attackers? Or non- White victim's, such as Floyd, of White police brutality?
Hypocrisy galore.

It isn't really clear that Trump was invited, and, if so, by whom. It is clear to me that if Trump declared an interest in attending any wake or funeral, any rebuff could be met with threats and harassment by MAGA nuts. (Picture MTG menacing Parkland survivor David Hogg).

“President Trump is moved by the invitation to join NYPD Officer Jonathan Diller’s family and colleagues as they deal with his senseless and tragic death,” Trump campaign press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement Wednesday.

A spokesperson for Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman, a Republican who leads the county where Officer Jonathan Diller lived, confirmed he extended the invitation to the former president and spoke with him on Tuesday.

Tonight. My first thought was... he's doing a press conference at a funeral?! How rude and inappropriate, but then that's all Trump... he'll find someway to make it about himself. It was a free campaign rally as far as he's concerned. We know he couldn't care less about the slain officer. He likes police who live, after all. Disabled or dead, he really has nothing good to say about them.

That’s all he can afford right now. Capitalizing on the death of a police officer. That’s todays Republican Party.
