Macy's parade: 'Shredded police papers in confetti'

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-20487235

A student found confetti strips like these contained sensitive police data

Some confetti at the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday in New York appears to have been made out of confidential police documents, a US media report says.

The documents, shredded but legible, belonged to the Nassau County Police Department, New York station WPIX says.

They included sensitive data such as social security numbers and banking information for police employees.

They were shredded horizontally, not vertically, leaving text visible.

Who dumped this and what else was dumped? It wasn't Macy's these were documents that have a lot of personal and confidential information. Information on under cover law enforcement. Some security details on romney. And who knows what else.

I'm outraged that this happened. I know it was in NY and I live in Fl so in theory none of my information should be there. But it could have been but that wasn't as important as the many other bits of classified info that could have been there. Why did the person that tried to depose of this info try to mix it into confetti? Ok that part of that answer is a no brainier, the person hoped to disguise it as regular confetti with the hopes no one would tell the difference. But why?

Man o man are my conspiracy craving senors on over drive.
