Hard to believe it's been that long. His music changed the world and his death brought an entire generation (X) to tears. RIP to an absolute legend.

I remember this Seattle's collective grief - a huge gathering at Seattle Center, with Courtney Love calling in to address the crowd.

Even my kids were really affected -at 6 & 8. Kind of like on 9/11, we couldn't shield them from the news.

3. Hard for me to believe it's been 30 years.

I can remember exactly where I was in class during my sophomore year of HS when I heard the news. I was an angsty teenager and gravitated to the Seattle music scene because it spoke to me, Nirvana and Cobain in particular.

4. I remember how older generations didn't like Nirvana

Even yesterday on Facebook someone who's 76 replied to my Kurt tribute and said that he never cared for them.
