I remember this Seattle's collective grief - a huge gathering at Seattle Center, with Courtney Love calling in to address the crowd.

Even my kids were really affected -at 6 & 8. Kind of like on 9/11, we couldn't shield them from the news.

I can remember exactly where I was in class during my sophomore year of HS when I heard the news. I was an angsty teenager and gravitated to the Seattle music scene because it spoke to me, Nirvana and Cobain in particular.

Even yesterday on Facebook someone who's 76 replied to my Kurt tribute and said that he never cared for them.
