If you're really interested in Gaza, and not just your own political standing in this country, then there's some figuring out you need to do about how to do this. What you're doing won't help Gaza and if you "punish" Democrats who aren't right there with you by helping Trump get elected, Gaza loses.

• Every civil right is eroded by clown judges living in the 18th century rewriting the constitution.

• Worker's rights and benefits reduced in order to create greater profits for businesses.

• Safety nets removed, so that homeless, and jobless people are left to die on the streets.

• More, more, more of culture war.

• GUNS, everywhere, with no limitations or requirements. Kids get them freely.

• Minorities and women blamed for every imaginable blip.

• Support of authoritarian regimes across the globe, who eagerly imprison, "re-educate", murder and commit atrocities on others.

• Lies, hate speech and threats are welcomed on "social media" and given support by government officials.

They're not paying attention to reality.

1. Israel is not going away and their right to exist has been politically established and recognized internationally. Agree or disagree, it's not realistic to change that and if it is morally wrong to use violence against the Palestinians, it is morally wrong to use it against Israel.
2. The attack on Israel on October 7 was not justifiable under any circumstance. Those who are protesting on behalf of Gaza must recognize this as a fact that has led to where we are now.
3. It's time for a cease fire. That permits taking stock of the situation and deciding what needs to be done. Surely none of those protesters are supporters of Hamas' continued existence in Gaza.
4. Aid to Israel is complicated and not just a matter of congress taking a vote or the President unilaterally deciding not to send the check. It's tied to the military alliance and appropriations, approved in advance, can't be changed with unilateral action or a single vote.
5. The Democratic Party and President Joe Biden are not only essential to a solution in Gaza, even though it may not be the kick in the teeth to Israel that you want, they are essential to your continued existence as a political constituency and community and to your voice in American affairs. Punishing Biden by not voting for him, or by voting for Trump will be the end of your cause, everything you stand for, and you, because you will be legislated out of existence.
