We're down to six jurors after one of the seven who were empaneled Tuesday was dismissed after expressing concerns that part of her identity was made public. Ultimately, 12 New Yorkers and likely six alternates will need to be selected.

. Team Trump ( cracks me up every time ) has had the prospective jurors list for a whole two days. Plenty of intimidation time.
Somehow, they dont have time for the documents trial, tho. Go figure!

People with a pro-Donnie bias will remain
People with no initial bias but who respond to intimidation by doing what the intimidator wants will remain
Well, he could start over. But the fact that he intimidates jurors is out there, all the prospective jurors potentially know this.

And in all likelihood, they will ALL be long-term New Yorkers, rather than more recent residents, but that is not a given. The jury foreman, after all is an Irish immigrant, albeit largely grew up (reportedly) in the US.

(32,084 posts)But would you want to be on this jury? Sure many of us think "yes, would love to lock this mf'er up" - but then you think about how folks could come after you. Not an idle threat, he WILL find a way to release any info he gets and some of his supporters would absolutely go after jurors. We've already seen what they wanted to do to Congress (not to mention Mike Pence when he pissed them off).
I would not want to be on that jury because I still believe in the rule of law, and if I were to answer honestly under oath, I would say that I could not be impartial, instead of trying to sneak by, which would only harm the prosecutors case in the long term.
