has a witty (and sane) commentary, but you would think he was auditioning to be TSF's VP or at least take over as one of the MAGA spokespeople now. He's always had contrarian beliefs on things, but the older he gets the more ridiculous...

Just listened to it today via podcast, actually. Heard the remark about DeSantis vs. Disney as a comparison to the series "Quiet on the Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV."

I'm not convinced that DeSantis had pure motives at all, but I don't dismiss that child exploitation also occurred (or still occurs) at Disney.

Bill takes some stances that I definitely disagree with. I applaud him at other times. I usually get a few good laughs most weeks.

I think it's healthy to live outside the echo chamber.

I also can’t handle the cruel weight bias (Jillian Michaels was dead wrong about so much last night), the way he smugly dismisses any guest who makes a salient point he can’t counter, and his general smugness. I used to watch him til he crossed a line from satire to promoting outright lies.

There are many on the right who would make similar arguments about Jon Stewart, who I also enjoy.

Bill takes plenty of potshots at Republicans and some at Dems too. I give him some latitude and refuse to agree with him in some instances.

As for Jillian Michaels, she was clearly looking out for her own best interests as a so-called "healthy living guru." She has her own agenda.

the idea that liberals r down w child abuse is sick. it’s the cons that r pedos and enablers.
meatball ron is out today talking about replacing school counselors w VOLUNTEER clergy. cd there b a better indication of bad intent that doing it for free?

we dont disagree it’s bad, we just disagree about who is doing it. at least he throw in teachers.

piece of shit. He was an old piece of shit at the same time he constantly dissed Hillary Clinton for wearing pantsuits and being "old". But him? The "girls" (his words) loved his old piece of ass. Talk about a mysogynist.

I'm as liberal as it gets, but took my kid to the park and library. On the other hand, my MAGA 'father' took my sister and I to the bar on a regular basis. And, he made crude, sexist jokes about our developing bodies as young girls. I'd have preferred to attend a drag show.

I wonder if Maher has any thoughts on what toxic masculinity and misogyny does to children? He does realize there is 'indoctrination' as it relates I presume?
