(48,316 posts)People are inclined to notice the vandalism, the destruction of property first and foremost and possibly miss the humanitarian message.
I appreciate their objective, but that is an awful way to elicit support.
Like you, I do not condone it. It does not qualify as a peaceful protest in my mind.

First off a complete Bullshit OP, then smashing property to make a political point is Bullshit, not sure why we can't all get to common ground, Hamas is a terrorist organization and should be condemned. Israeli response should be condemned. They are NOT mutually exclusive. This shit at Columbia is wrong, not nearly as wrong as Jan. 6 but still wrong.

I certainly agree that Hamas and the Israeli response should be condemned. But I think exaggerating the importance and threat of broken windows is a long stretch compared to what's going on in Gaza.
And will leave it at that
