Sue has worked with abused spouses and by what she has seen, Kelly Ayotte has all the outward signs.
I didn't notice it because I don't know what to look for but my wife, Sue, sure did. She brought it up to me last night out of nowhere. She seen her on TV and didn't even realize who it was.
Anyone else notice that?

(1,417 posts)I have no idea if it has anything to do with being abused, but she didn't look comfortable up there with those idiots at all. It just looked like a woman going through the motions and following behind a bunch of jackasses.
I noticed the same thing -- extremely uncomfortable.

(2,679 posts)Not that her hair was shaky. I don't know how to explain it because there was nothing wrong with it. But there was something strange about it I just can't put my finger on why I found it strange. However her voice sounded very weak and shaky. All of the 3 Knights that say Ni voices sounded shaky and scared with their first words. Of course by the time the two old white men started their rants they probably felt more comfortable attacking so the vile that spewed from their mouths. But Ayotte stayed shaky the whole time.
Weird... and your wife my be on to something. She might not being abused right now but something sure happened cause she seems off.
If I was her I'd stop talking to the two old white men last year. Those two are nuts and we only have to feed them a little bit more rope as they are on the verge of political suicide.

(31,706 posts)One can imagine how lonely it has to be as one of the few women in the old boys club...and that surely defines the rushpublicans in the Senate. To my knowledge there's never been a woman in any leadership position or at the helm of any powerful chairmanships. They are only heard from when their vote is needed and sit in the back of the caucus. Ayotte is trying to glam on and play "with the boys" in hopes of moving up in leadership. As convoluted as it may look from our vantage point, she's now a rising star on Bullshit Mountain...and that will serve her well over time. Abused? Nah...just another opportunist...
Cheers...

(40,168 posts)the GOP seems to have a thing about trotting out relatively attractive women to use as window dressing for their wretched, miserable ideas.
A couple of years ago Ayotte was campaigning in New Hampshire in August with a big Ford Super Duty pickup truck (complete with snowplow on it) in an attempt to stir up the male "now that's my kind of woman" vote.
And of course Gramps dragged Palin out of the back woods, to get the red meat male vote.......
I think she's got problems.
