Howard Fineman has died after 2 year fight with pancreatic cancer.

This is Howard’s wife, Amy Nathan. I am heartbroken to share my brilliant and extraordinary husband passed away late last night surrounded by those he loved most, his family. He valiantly battled pancreatic cancer for 2 years. He couldn’t have been adored more. The world was a better place because he lived in it and wrote about it.

Always felt he did what he could to be a good reporter and keep the corporate masters off his ass. And he had a great sense of humor.

RIP Howard.

journalism! I'm so pissed off all of the time, I didn't even notice he was missing from MSNBC!

RIP Howard Fineman. When is comes to political journalism, you were one of the best ever!

I will always remember his favorite saying "to cute by half" when someone, e.g. Alito's wife, was trying to gaslight everyone as to their racism, bigotry, and/or Christian religious insanity. He did not tolerate fools like her.

All I know of Howard Fineman is what I heard from him on MSNBC. I used to watch MSNBC often and enjoyed listening to Howard's take on issues. He seemed to be genuine, knowledgeable and honest.

I liked Howard Fineman and am sorry to learn he has passed away.
