The talking heads on CNN were terrible last night, not Biden.

Now that CNN has told the country what to think about the debate, I'll tell you what I saw.

Trump: Treacherous, should not be within a country mile of the White House.

Biden: Very old but still much more honest, capable, and compassionate than Trump. Biden's age has never worried me, because I know that Kamala Harris is capable. It would be bad if something happened to Biden while he is in office, but we'd still be in good hands.

The talking heads on CNN did more to sabotage Biden's campaign last night than Biden did with his senior moment. There is nothing wrong with Biden's sanity. Trump's a fucking lunatic.

1. Kamala being competent isn't the point at all

People aren’t voting for Kamala, they are voting for Joe. Amongst many voters Joe’s age is a concern, and he needed to allay that concern last night. He did not — if anything his performance gave legs to the attacks on his age.

The format was a disaster and Trump is terrible but the debate hurt Biden’s chances significantly. And the reason there are calls for him to drop out is Trump is such a horrible person.

2. Biden wasn't that bad in the debate for one thing.

After the debate I watched CNN's "analysis" and I couldn't believe they watched the same debate that I did. The forum on that show made Biden seem much worse than he was.

And if you don't think the VP is important on the ticket, remember Thomas Eagleton, McGovern's running mate for a short while back in 1972?

3. I'm not saying the VP isn't important

Just that Kamala is going to have zero impact (imho) on whether someone votes for Biden. The only saving grace from last night is that Trump is a felon and liar. I haven’t seen a single story or opinion piece claiming Biden did well.
