7. While this is a terrible double standard about who they suggest should drop out and who they don't...

...there is a positive way to take this:

The NYT expects that Biden is open to appeals to make a personal sacrifice for the good of the country (if, indeed dropping out would be for the good).

On the other hand, it's considered baked-in that the Republican party and Trump's supporters don't care about Trump's lies and dangerous plans, and that Trump would never heed any call based on doing something for the good of anyone but himself.

Frankly, I've thought for awhile that the NYT has had it in the bag for Trump. I'm on a NYT mailing list. I've seen that their polls have been skewed in Trumps favor compared to others you can find. They send out this thing out called "The Tilt." And it sure is. Tilted right. I can't stand to read it anymore.
