This right here! All day, every single day!
...................................................................

Obama described Biden as the best Vice President Americas ever had and said that selecting Biden as his running mate was the best possible choice, not just for me but for the American people. In an interview that aired the same day, Biden told NBCs Andrea Mitchell of their special relationshipI dont like him, I love him, he saidand recalled that the President had even offered him personal financial help as his family dealt with the illness and subsequent death of Beau Biden.

(92,185 posts)What a team, two good men.
Makes me a bit weepy remembering eight years and not waking up in a panic about what might have happened while I was sleeping. We all felt safer then.
Thanks.

(5,760 posts)I really, really hope Black support for Biden is more than just about his willingness to be an underling to a black man.
That the support is about policy more so than race. Then again I've never been a Black person so I'm sure I can't see things in quite the same way.
Anyway, I welcome any and all support for Joe Biden, no matter the reason.

(92,185 posts)They were partners and Joe had a chance to walk in his shoes and to see the world from his perspective, the racism and help heal racial divisions.
They shared mutual respect. They were a team and a good one.

Why are you disputing the basis of your very own thread? And why did you ignore the substance of what I said?

(40,235 posts)The vice-presidency is not "second fiddle."
The vice-presidency is not an "underling."
The vice-president is an important office which is very necessary in a country overrun with guns and nuts. A country that has people who are mentally ill, like David DePape, the far right nutcase who attacked Nancy Pelosi's husband.
Vice-presidents often take on very important jobs, like what Kamala Harris is doing with the rights of women to have the healthcare they need. This is a major point in the upcoming election, needless to say. The fact that it's been given to her to develop and get across to the electorate speaks to the fact that vice presidents often take on very important causes.
As I said in the beginning of this post, neither expression is appropriate or correct. Sometimes the sentiment overrides the writing, however, and we can appreciate the thought behind such a post.

(22,395 posts)Who are intolerant of such a relationship because they lack the trust n mutual respect needed to cultivate a bond from different cultures. They cant allow themselves to experience such a thing because of the misconceptions theyve never tried to prove wrong. That Obama n Biden have a successful 8 years as president n VP n their friendship is still strong, is foreign to them. I dare say they love each other as family n that just is too much for them. They strike back at DEI values n hide behind their ideology of privilege. This photo of our two presidents is the heart n soul of who we can be as a nation striving to be a more perfect union.

(11,554 posts)"Old rich white man?" Not that old when he became VP (64), and he was consistently the poorest guy in the Senate.
He only got relatively rich after being VP when he wrote a best selling book.
