others from hurting people. That's IT. What is so fucking controversial and offensive about THAT? I'm honestly astonished at some of these indignant, self-righteous responses - at times I'm almost reminded of someone having an anxiety attack.

(13,324 posts)of what I, personally, have gathered from the recent threads I've read on that subject - and I think I've read most of them. Plain and simple, don't harm or abuse people - and it's not even gender-specific necessarily. But the harder part, I guess, is trying to prevent other people from doing harm. Often impossible, sad to say.

(20,582 posts)Don't hurt anyone and step in when you see it happening. There's nothing controversial about it. Women's rights, gay rights, racial equality - they're all human rights, and when we insult and treat one group as the enemy, we all lose. It's very, VERY simple.

I really try to be diplomatic, but the PTSD brings out my inner badass - and then I say exactly what I think, pretty or not.
You were very diplomatic and I can't tell you how many of us really appreciated your input.
