(12,911 posts)He is a big-time fund raiser. He very loudly said he was cutting off Democratic candidates unless and until President Biden steps aside.

(3,174 posts)These wealthy power brokers are much of what is wrong with this whole damn country. I agree. F them. Let the people decide as they did in 2020.

(59,809 posts)This one is just too important to hold back.
My wife is a German citizen who maintains her legal residence in Germany, so she is ineligible. However, my Frankfurt-based daughter has maintained her U.S. citizenship and has stepped in.

(6,448 posts)Live on SS and a small retirement fund. It will run out in a few years. Im good giving what I can to Biden/Harris. Theyve had my back, its the least I can do.

(59,809 posts)Those of us who can donate the max, will do so. No one should feel the least bit remorseful for not being as fortunate.
I always donate by check, never by credit card or Act Blue. A check means the candidate gets 100% of the donation. After Act Blue and the credit card company get through taking out their cut, the candidate only receives 92% or so of the donation. In races where donations run into the millions, Act Blue and the credit card companies divide up $80,000 for every $1 million in contributions donated through Act Blue. That's more than I can justify. For those who have no other option, by all means use that method to contribute. I maintain a US checking account, so I always donate that way.

(13,154 posts)No doubt, more than a few billionaires had their cages rattled by Joes achievements and they are not happy. They would prefer a president whos a little less of a high achiever.
Middle class Americans, on the other hand, are experiencing the myriad positive benefits of Joes presidency and are opening up their wallets.
