Ratings are very very important to TFG. I was a delegate to the 2016 Convention and we did not see Hillary until the last night. TFG going to each session shows that TFG is worried about the ratings. If we want to piss off TFG, we need to keep on talking about the ratings

Variety reported that despite a near-death experience, the convention's first night drew 18.1 million viewers across all networks.
"Fox News led the pack by far with 6.9 million viewers at 10 p.m. Next was ABC with 2.3 million viewers, NBC with 2.2 million, CBS with 1.8 million, MSNBC with 1.3 million and CNN with 1.1 million," the report said......
MSNBC host Lawrence O'Donnell called the event a very low-rated convention for Trump.
I think its one of the reasons why he went there, ODonnell continued. And I think even if he hadnt been attacked, theres a possibility he would have gone to try to pump up his ratings. He did everything he could to pump up Monday nights ratings that are lower than the Monday night ratings of his 2016 convention.
So thats six million ardent Trump supporters is the most they can get, ODonnell pointed out. Less than 10 percent of ardent Trump voters decided, Im going to watch this thing last night.'
Colleague Rachel Maddow mocked, Thats really not that much of a bump for Fox."

(23,523 posts)we're sick and tired of seeing his fat face out there. Simple!
Maybe someone in the repug camp will be brave enough to tell the higher ups this in the tRUMP gopher party? I doubt it, since they lie and hide everything anyways.

(4,453 posts)I was quite surprised to see Cheeto lumbering in. I always thought they saved the candidate until the end in order to build suspense. . . Cheeto looked decidedly low energy with his sagging jowls and that enormous, square dressing on his ear. Knowing the Repigs and how they operate, I have no doubt that dressing on his ear was placed for what they thought would be strategic value. It just looks, well. . . strange.
The crowd did not seem at all excited, and the speakers did not appear to be terribly energetic either. Of course they got some cheers, but it was not over enthusiastic in my opinion.
When I think about Joe's performance in Detroit, there is no comparison with Cheeto's RNC. Joe's Detroit performance reminded me of what a normal political convention sounds like.
