Where are the media safaris to local diners to ask average Democratic voters what they think?

Why, you'd think media outlets only do that sort of thing to hear what Republican voters have to say say (though they could save themselves the money and just get it from FOX)!

We'll be all reasonable and shit, while the Republicans will always say wacky and outlandish things. They're good for ratings.

I'm not (entirely) kidding, by the way. I'm pretty sure that's a big part of the reason.

Coherent answers don’t make good TV.

On a similar line, I recently watched a YouTube video of a local news channel in a midwestern city doing interviews with people waiting to see Return of the Jedi in 1983. What was jarring about it wasn’t the clothes or hairstyles, it was the way people talked. In complete sentences. Using adult words. They didn’t sound like simpletons. It blew my mind.

Those republican voters are like the man-on-the-street segments on some late night shows. They say such mindless crap, it is hard to believe anyone could be that stupid. I won't listen to those interviews. It is too depressing.

As much I have a love/hate relationship with social media, those up for this sort of task should make the effort and flood the internet.

Preferably someone younger than me. I'm not that tech or social medai saavy.

In a perfect world, we could rely on the mainstream media to support our democracy. In reality, the media corporations exist to make a profit for shareholders, first, last and always.

the media want people to spew horrific, violent, ignorant, and stupid stuff. that draws in the ratings!

We know differently. I was with a group of republicans that was surprised that someone had out a Biden sign. They actually said that they were taking a risk with their lives. I just thought they might be surprised how many of us there is. I don't put anything out any more and know others that won't either. I have noticed that there is a lot less trump stuff out.

and asked what they thought of the election. Weren't asked political affiliation, but definitely weren't Trumpers. They don't like either candidate, it's two old white guys (said two white women with a smirk). Didn't have anyone in particular they wanted to see run. They're all the same, who cares, was the attitude.

It would be nice to hear from actual Democrats.
