The very rich and powerful have taken over the republican party. Now, they are trying to take over the Democratic party.
What is amazing is who's selling out.

(25,291 posts)Rich fucks have decided they want their tax cuts more than they want Democracy. It is so fucking disgusting that Dem party legislators are committing country suicide and don't care because their funders will take care of them and that seems to be more important than our democracy.

(78 posts)It's us against the oligarchs. There are 1000 billionaires with 60% of the wealth. They may control the MSM and a few Democrats that's true.
There are 340 million of us. Some of us don't have any money but we all have freedom. They have so much money and power but they want more at our expense. About 170 million of us vote.
Let's send them a message. Keep our freedom. If they pay more taxes and are regulated to protect us ...that's fine. They'll still be rich and free but so will we.

(361 posts)An oligarch is an oligarch. Once they gain control, there is no such thing as compassionate, or even benign, oligarchy. Many of the rich donors fund both political parties. I believe the "remove Biden" movement was a Trojan horse. They didn't want Biden removed so that Democrats would win in 2024. They wanted Biden removed to "kneecap" the Dems. I believe this was orchestrated by the Republicans. These tech bros have their billion dollar bunkers, private security forces, and additional mansion bolt holes all over the globe. Throw in gutted regulatory oversight and minimal, if any, restrictions, plus tax breaks and you can readily see why they wanted Joe to go. Even though most of us have had our hair on fire moments, we all saw through the propaganda and stood our ground. In a world where alternate facts have infected the media and a good portion of the general public, I think what is amazing is that there are those who said, "Not on my watch!".

(97,402 posts)It's now or never, as it is for the rest of us. They think they can pull it off, this take over thing, but the rest of us aren't going to give it to them.
This is why they have language of war and strife, partially to freak us out and partially to announce their intentions.
They are also afraid of us, we need to make them insignificant in all things, that is their power, infiltration of everything we need or use including our government.
Time to each the rich by making their wealth worthless to the rest of the world population. It will take collective discipline for a while but it can be accomplished

(2,951 posts)and not let the corruption take hold of our party the same way it had with the Republicans.
I know I will be supporting the primary opponents of anyone who bent the knee to mega donor pressure.
