... just for the heck of it and every single frickin' Democratic politician is on the pro-crypto list! (I'm in California), including those who said publicly that Joe should step down.

Because much of the "industry" is headquartered and/or is concentrated there.

When FTX collapsed thanks to Sam Bankman-Fried, it took out several other banks that were associated with and/or supporting crypto and the tech industry there, including SVB (CA), First Republic (CA), Signature Bank (NY), and BlockFi (NJ). The feds came to the rescue to get them taken over/reorganized as much as allowed by law.

Those who run these crypto things, are the "new oligarchs".

The FTX collapse may have contributed, but Silicon Valley Bank collapsed due to a lack of diversification and a bank run caused by (wait for it) Peter Thiel. SVB had a large amount of bank deposits in long-term US treasuries and agency mortgage-backed securities, and those values fell as the Fed raised interest rates.

Thiel and his top operations executives started a whisper campaign on March 9 on social media for reasons that weren't clear at the time. They held conference calls with other SVB Founders Fund companies, saying that the Founders Fund was pulling money out of SVB.

I don't know about BlockFi, but First Republic and Signature Bank failed due to contagion with the SVB collapse.

and the "crypto" part was what brought it and others down after the "whisper campaign" and runs on the banks.

Thanks for sharing this list, although the information seems to be a mixed bag.

I ran a sort with the following settings:
- Stance on crypto: all
- Role: all
- Party: Dem
- State: CA

What I got was Brad Sherman with an "F," followed by 24 Dems (including some big names in CA politics) with grades of "A" and "B," which seems pretty bad.

But if you keep scrolling, you get another 24 Dems with an "F" grade (including names like Alex Padilla, Katie Porter and John Garamendi), followed by the names of other CA Dem reps and CA Dems running for office listed as "pending."

So, it's not great. But it's not "every single frickin' Democratic politician" in CA.

Hard to believe there are so many politicians "for" crypto. Any reasonable person should be able to see that it is a scam. I've even heard it compared to a Ponzi scheme.

I can understand some gullible people falling for it, but not members of congress who should know better.

Et voila!

(now the industry has double-checked the taser wires that they fired into them with those donations and is activating the current to make them comply)

Highlighted is MY congressman (PA-3) and note the "Strongly against".

Of the "Strongly Supportive", at least 2 out of 3 (Houlahan and Wild) have called for a step down. The 3rd (Boyle) has so far indicated Biden support within the past 2 weeks.

money laundering, gambling and drug dealing.

That these "bros" somehow think crypto will be the standard worldwide currency replacing the dollar, the yuan or the Euro, etc. is beyond fan fiction.
