We have a good friend who just couldn't have kids. Listening to these crackpots she is worthless. Where do they get off? I realize they want to take us back to the 1800s, but these values are strange, moronic, hateful and just plain wrong. Again, NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS what a women does with her body or life. In my lifetime, not one "leader" in the repub party has ever introduced or passed any legislation to help working families that do have children with health insurance, childcare cost or childcare options (childcare within the job programs). I'm most likely forgetting other critical help that they haven't helped with.


In the United States of America, when a mother starts maternity leave that has a full time job, the general options are:
1. Take 6 weeks off with pay
2. Take 12 weeks off without pay


It's been 23 years since I had a baby, so unless maternity leave has changed, I don't know about it.


23 years ago, we paid $70 to $100 a week for childcare cost. We had to pay for a week of childcare service even if we took an entire week off for vacation. The cost of childcare for today's working families isn't feasible at all.



And now the repub party wants to shame other women for not having children? The hypocrisy is certainly lost on them.
