i dont think it's joe's age. it's his failure to take the fight to maga.

he let his ag drag his feet, instead of telling him to go get trump.
he has been ‘gentleman joe’ amidst a culture of corruption that makes teapot dome look like a tea party.
he never called for corrupt scotus justices to step down, to b charged w bribery.
he hasnt even called on menendez to resign.

in some ways, he’s the worst of washington ‘go along to get along’ culture. he played by the ‘rules’ while everyone around him pissed on the rules.
he’s been a great prez who did an amazing job amidst ridiculous times.
but harris is a fighter. THAT’S y ppl have gone nuts to support her.

Also, I think it had to be more than one factor which played into the decision.

He had a golden opportunity at the debate to smack down that orange piece of shit, but failed. It was disastrous. If I heard him say one more time "the idea that...." in response to a trump lie instead of "you're a despicable liar" I was going to scream. Kamala's speech yesterday proved that Biden's decision to step aside was correct, and should have been obvious to everyone at the moment of the debate.

and was hog-tied by GOP obstruction on some cabinet nominees for 3-6 months, and the slim Senate majority. We began 2021 with GOP calling J6 touristy, and surely impeaching Trump a second time would jive GOP Senate eyeballs with reality, no?

It's gotten hoarse and raspy. It's really hard to fight when your voice isn't holding up.

He also appears to have gotten stiffer in the past several months. The stiffness is not going to get better. I associate stiffness with pain/discomfort myself. He said his neuropathy in his foot has gotten worse due to the fact he didn't follow doctors orders when he broke it a few years. I have both issues myself. His medical report indicates he has radiculopathy due to arthritic changes in his spine. These changes are not going to get any better.

Gentleman Joe has gracefully stepped aside and passed the baton to skilled woman who can't wait to scratch trump's eyes out.
We'll know a lot more where we stand when the new poll results start coming out after our convention, but I think the tide has already turned in our favor. The next four months are going to be hell for trump as he sees his chances of escaping jail slipping away.

I hear the youth vote is fired up about Kamala on Tic Toc, and if it's true, the GOP is facing a tsunami of their worst dreams.
