"SNIP............

Politico: “Harris’s emerging brain trust is also starting to rethink how the fundamentals of the race against Donald Trump have changed. They believe Harris’ relative strength with young, Black and Brown voters will put more states in play than a weakened Biden could credibly contest.”

Said one Democratic veteran: “The Midwest is not where the opportunity is for her. The opportunity with her… is going to be Nevada, Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania. And however those four states go, the rest of the country will follow.”

Use the interactive electoral map to test various scenarios.

5. I agree. I don't know why they're writing off the Midwest.

And they need to pay attention to Virginia. Polls haven’t looked good for Dems, but VA is winnable with attention.

Yes VA too. Hopefully she gets better advice from other strategists.

13. Indeed. I'm just wondering if they are actually planning on ignoring the Midwest, or just not make other states a priori

“In Michigan, where polls showed us ahead but not by as much as we’d like, we had nearly 140 more staff on the ground than (President) Obama did in 2012, and spent 166 percent more on television,” Clinton writes. “I visited seven times during the general election."

This is one of the the things that is so mind numbing, blaming the victim in this case, but generally with Ds. They let themselves flake out over R BS, as they did with Joe here, Dean with the "scream,' etc.

She lost because this country is stupid as $hit, primarily, but if you have to put it on one thing, the fricken Comey letter.

"Clinton’s standing in the polls fell sharply. She’d led Trump by 5.9 percentage points in FiveThirtyEight’s popular vote projection at 12:01 a.m. on Oct. 28. A week later — after polls had time to fully reflect the letter — her lead had declined to 2.9 percentage points."

It's the most evenly split state, and there is a large African American population there. The population of people with higher education is substantial as well due to Research Triangle.

I remember where trying to expand the map before we locked down what we knew we needed got us in 2016...

When they are 100% sure they will win the Blue Wall back, then I'd feel more comfortable investing resources in states like AZ or GA.
