7. DeSantis and Cardinal Richelieu

The first time I saw DeSantis, I thought that if you were to take Cardinal Richelieu and put him into a business suit, he'd be DeSantis. Supremely arrogant, convinced of his own superiority, scheming and villainous, Richelieu would have been right at home as governor of Florida. Ironically, the problems that the good (well, bad) cardinal had was that he just wasn't respected the way he felt he should be. Sound familiar?
