CNBC is becoming worse than Fox News

I'm flipping between news channels the other day. Here's what I get on the fiscal cliff:

6:50 Fox News: Commentators & hots saying that democrats need to put spending cuts on the table. They played a clip of Obama in 2010 calling for entitlement reform.

7:08, CNBC: Larry Kudlow complaining, "Why is nobody in the media talking about spending cuts?" with a tagline on the screen "Media ignores spending cuts"

7:20, MSNBC: Chris Mathews discussing entitlement reform and spending cuts on Hardball

I already worry that Fox News breeds delusional paranoia in its viewers about the liberal media. Now I've got to deal with CNBC doing the same. Yes, they've worshiped capitalists and the 1% since they started, but I didn't think they're also playing the paranoia game. I'm willing to bet that at least 75% of the coverage of the fiscal cliff, including this 30 minute span of 3 of the major cable networks, mentions spending cuts. Shoot, the entire debate is about balancing spending & review. Yet Kudlow can sit there with a straight face and literally say "nobody" is covering it. Ugh.

Looks like Cenk Uygur agrees that CNBC might be worse: http://current.com/shows/the-young-turks/videos/cenk-cnbc-worse-than-fox-news-channel-at-how-much-they-love-the-rich-and-powerful

You should do the same. They don't really give you the market news that you want.

We don't have Bloomberg as part of our work satellite package, and the traders need a financial channel for market so it's CNBC

Apparently, getting the "Unabashedly Pro-Investor" channel (as they call themselves) equals getting a heaping helping of Republican congresspeople and various other members of the corporate 1% being fellated and massaged by unabashed Republicans like Joe Kernen, Rick Santelli, Maria Bartiromo, Larry Kudlow, Jim Cramer and Michelle "You Know I'm Right" Caruso-Cabrera.

Oh, and don't get me started on that douche Santelli. The CBOT douches he hangs with are completely down with his schpiel. They're all part of the 1% sympathizer crew who thinks it's all about them and them only.

When he coined the TeaHadist Movement, the President hadn't even been in office for a MONTH. Not ONE economic policy had been enacted at that point. So really, what he was bitching about had all to do with BEWSH and the financial gangsterism he aided and abetted, but he conveniently blamed Obama because he happened to get elected and was trying to remedy the forclosure issue quickly. Now is anyone going to tell me that McCain would have received the same treatment had he won?

NOT. LIKELY.

Believe it or not, it used to be worse . . . they had Erin "Beijing" Burnett, Melissa Francis, Chuckles Gasparino and Dennis Kneale at one point WITH the rest mentioned above (three of the four migrated to Faux Business . . . quelle surprise).

Wrote about them last year . . . . nice collection of videos.
