Republican Sen. Jim DeMint is a moran

"Speaker [John] Boehner's $800 billion tax hike will destroy American jobs and allow politicians in Washington to spend even more, while not reducing our $16 trillion debt by a single penny," DeMint said in a statement. "This isn't rocket science. Everyone knows that when you take money out of the economy, it destroys jobs, and everyone knows that when you give politicians more money, they spend it. This is why Republicans must oppose tax increases and insist on real spending reductions that shrink the size of government and allow Americans to keep more of their hard-earned money."

Everyone knows that taking money out of the economy destroys jobs, that is why we must take money out of the economy. This is one of the dumbest quotes I've ever heard anyone ever say. This person should be removed from office immediately.

In the most recent election I came to the conclusion is that Republicans are, in general, not especially intelligent.

To be sure, they have money & cunning, but they are more interested in power, punishment, and binary thinking than in finding equitable solutions to complex issues.

And GOP Senators are the most powerful arguments for this conclusion.

go back into the economy. Whatever the government spends increases in value when it hits the street.

Spending money IS what creates jobs.
