http://www.smh.com.au/opinion/political-news/assange-will-go-to-sweden-diplomats-20121204-2atbh.htmlIt is thought that the transparency group's dwindling financial support will ''sooner or later dry up'' leaving Assange ''irrelevant and with little alternative other than to leave Ecuador's embassy''.
''This is slowly playing itself out, over months, maybe more than a year, but there's only one likely outcome - extradition to Sweden,'' a diplomatic source said last week.
One security official claimed WikiLeaks' ''inner group'' now comprised only ''four to six people, including Assange'' and that its website was ''running on empty'' financially.

(34,845 posts)If Sweden arrests him, the cry will be that Obama is neutralizing him in this oh-so-subtle manner.
If Sweden lets him go, they will say the only reason for that is because he made such a public outcry.
The Conspiracy Theory will live on!

(53,661 posts)She thinks he'll show up in Sweden after Manning's trial, which begins in March 2013. Then that he might go to the USA. Might being operative in alll cases. Haven't read any news blurbs from Ecaudor, either.
Manning's trial could take all year with all the evidence and testimony that needs to be presented. I don't see Assange doing any prison time anywhere, but he might have to turn over some information. Manning may squeak out of this with less time than expected.
