CAMDEN, N.J. -- Toxicology tests show a New Jersey woman who decapitated her 2-year-old son and then killed herself in August had smoked PCP-laced marijuana.
The Camden County Prosecutor's released the test results on Monday showing 34-year-old Chevonne Thomas had used the drug before killing her son and putting his head in a freezer.
The woman had suffered from mental illness and had twice lost custody of her son because of drug use. It was believed from the Aug. 22 tragedy that she was using the drug known as "wet," which is linked to violence in some users.
The same drug was linked to another horrific crime in Camden weeks later. In that case, authorities say a man broke into a home where he attacked a sleeping girl, then fatally stabbed her 6-year-old brother.

Why people still use PCP is a mystery to me.
I feel so sorry for the child.

(111,264 posts)so they'll have something to sell to get people high. As long as drugs remain illegal, this is going to keep going on.
PCP was a bathtub drug when it came out, a designer hallucinogen to get around stupid laws against the more benign ones like LSD, mushrooms and peyote. It's always been a worse drug than the ones it replaced on the street.
This is how it's going to continue going as long as we are cursed by the overpriced and utterly futile drug war.

I hope they find the dealer who sold that murderous shit to the woman, and prosecute to the maximum.

Freedom, baby, freedom. If it feels good, do it.
This is what small government phonies forget to extrapolate.
