The real beauty is after Kamala kicks his ass this election. His ego will again make him run, and his cult will win him the primaries. The gop will be held hostage by this loser until he strokes out. In 4 years, this guy will be drooling on himself, and won't know which room he's in.

(195 posts)But I suspect we will witness MAGA in the same bargain bin of failed ideologies the others ended up in. National socialism, communism, all manner of dictatorships. The beauty of our leadership is they embody (mostly) the best traits of democracy. No one is perfect. But at least our leaders aren't afraid to be vulnerable, admit responsibility and find a better way.
We course correct, they run off a cliff in their own blind rage. They have nobody but themselves to blame.
This isn't something I relish. The disenfranchisement of a large chunk of voters, regardless of how they vote, harms the entire franchise.

(55,377 posts)His dementia will be too progressed by then, not to mention republicans are already getting tired of him, it will be worse in 4 years.
That's not to say he can't keep the havoc going, trying to be kingmaker and dominating social media until he croaks, but I think his presidential ambitions end if he can't get into the Oval Office one way or another by January 20.

(2,493 posts)All he has to do is announce and his cult will vote him in. The gop can't control that. that's why I say they are being held hostage. Maybe more to the point is that his cult will hold the gop hostage.

(55,377 posts)All the more if he loses to a black/indian woman.
And of course he'll cry foul and try another cheat, and if he fails at that as well, I'm really not so sure republicans will stick with him. He won't be irrelevant, but I really don't think he'll get the nomination again.

(23,056 posts)He will run again. And the GOP will abandon him for the next 4 years, but be forced to take him back in 4 years because he has the voters they need.
