1. I've read a bit about this family - there is more to them that meets the eye

Mother is banking everything they make. She knows fame is fleeting and isn't going to rush out and spend all the money they make. Mom & Daughter are both pro marriage equality, probably because they have a gay uncle but they love him to death. And they were Obama supporters too.

Maybe a family of rednecks like this can help bring some sense to rednecks everywhere especially with the issue of marriage equality. If people see these bonafide rednecks (and they call themselves that) love and adore and respect their gay relative maybe more will think twice about treating a gay relative poorly.

4. Really? You make her sound like a crackhead

You see a 30 minute show and from there you deduce she drinks galleons of red bull everyday.

Instead of judging them why not read more about them.

These people reach an audience that would never listen to progressives or liberals. But I'm thinking if they see one of their own openly embrace, love and respect a gay family member perhaps there's a chance others will do the same.

to a show that's basically a freakshow exhibition & portrays the social milieu they come from that way.

they are not the most fascinating people of 2012 & BW is a shill for the 1% that are always ready to portray the working classes as crude dirty lazy out-of-wedlock overpopulating worthless bums.

And it seems like the Mom recognizes they are nothing more than 'a freak show' which is why she is saving the money they earn.

11. good for her, but bad for the public discourse. she's not the one who produced the show

however, & she's not the one mounting the publicity campaign for it.

of which babawawa's 'most fascinating' list is undoubtably a part of. they don't draw up those lists on the basis of some neutral 'merit'.

On election night she was reading word for word his sad little sour grapes rant after it was plain that Romney lost.

There was a man on the same show that also absolutely lost his shit but I couldn't figure out who it was just by his voice. I'd love o know who it was.

And then told the world about it, I wonder what kind of tree she would be? In a just world, a weeping willow.
