Can we agree that the Repubs plan on using the debt ceiling once again as a political hammer?

No matter what happens with the "fiscal cliff", we still have the "debt ceiling" increase coming up sometime in March.

What do Democrats give up to keep the Republicans from shutting down the government or causing another devalue of our currency?

You know it's coming. The Republicans cannot function as stewards of our government.

If you want to stop this then you have to call them on it. Let them shut it down and wait them out. The people will see what fools they are and you won't have to keep dealing with this tactic.

It was from the compromise made from the last "debt ceiling" debate. Will they do it again? Who knows? So long as they don't get the blame, they will do anything.

I think the days of them blaming the debt on Democrats are over. The last election is an indication that people are on to them. They saw first hand how the Mitt Romney's of America are getting over on taxes.
