Arizona Gov. Brewer 'slugged' reporter who asked her about climate change

http://jimromenesko.com/2012/12/05/what-you-didnt-see-in-the-gov-brewer-where-the-hell-did-that-come-from-video/

A video of Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer getting testy with KTVK-TV’s Dennis Welch after he asked about global warming has gone viral — “Where in the hell did that [question] come from?” she asked — but some of their exchange went unreported, according to a newspaper photographer who witnessed it. West Valley View’s Michael Clawson says Brewer hit Welch “not hard, but without enough force that he spun around to see what was going on.”

Clawson writes in an email to Romenesko readers:

... After her answer, a handler swooped in and whisked her away, but about three paces out she turned back around to face the reporter who asked the last question. He had turned to a camera operator and seemed to be putting his microphone away. Brewer took her left hand, balled it into a fist and with the back of her hand she slugged the reporter on the back of his right arm. Not hard, but with enough force that he spun around to see what was going on. She leaned in real close and looked up (she’s a shorter lady) and said in a whisper loud enough for most of us to hear, “Where the hell’d that come from?”

Does this explain her super-secret disappearance, that is now being reported as her traveling to Afghanistan?

Question for my fellow Arizonans:

What possible state business could our good governor be performing in Afghanistan ... This voter wants to know.

She likes to get physical with people when she's angry. This is a sign of an abusive person.

But if you cannot physically control yourself when angry, you are indeed an abusive person.

I just simply take the fight to them. I'm just hardened enough to show no regrets. I don't start fights or suckerpunch people like what happened to my brother or what Brewer did.

financial hit has Arizona taken since Brewer became Governor? Nobody is talking about the total destruction of their housing market, companies who have bailed for other states, the huge loss of small businesses, big time outward migration of people and not just Hispanics, seems like there aren't any signs of Corporate spending other than stockbrokers expanding their business.

We live near the Arizona border and can say that state is one sick puppy.

I live in AZ and yes housing took a hit here just like CA, NV, FL and many other states. There certainly was not "total destruction" as you posted. It is now recovering nicely and houses sell after just a short time on the market. Migration continues to go into AZ which is why we were just awarded another congressional seat. It continues to be one of the fastest growing states. Unemployment is dropping as it is nationally.

Probably at some clinic.

If she wasn't such a filthy human being, I might wish her well in her recovery.
