Besides Dave Brubeck, the music world also said goodbye to many others this year: Etta James, Whitney Houston, Ronnie Montrose, Earl Scruggs, Dick Clark, Donald 'Duck' Dunn, Donna Summer, Robin Gibb, etc.

(14,910 posts)In fact because of the passing of so many music legends, my father and I are finally taking action to get to Crossroads Guitar Festival this year while we still have the opporunity to be entertained by so many great artists who are getting on in age...
For me, Levon Helm and Earl Scruggs hit close to home.
