Going to try it here in Michigan but I'm still a little skeptical as to the overall effectiveness. Any info. and/or input would be appreciated.
TIA

(3,202 posts)Door to door can be hard for folks and sometimes it's just walking and nobody home.
Many are more comfortable postcarding or phonebanking or something else. Whatever works is good.
I'm glad that face to face works for you, I do some of that but also the other things.

Edit to add: its simply asking people to participate in the election by voting.

(1,034 posts)I'm sending 900 to newly registered Democrats and No Party Preference. A piece of hand-addressed mail stands out in today's over-used phone & text environment. Depends on what the card says, also. What I'm sending focuses on the ease with which one can vote by mail.

(8,789 posts)I've been a postcarder since 2020. Research has shown that postcarding works! There are a number of postcarding organizations, but I use Postcards to Swing States: https://turnoutpac.org/postcards/

I think and hope it gives a personal touch and is evidence of human support.

I've been doing this since at least 2020. I'm at 225 of the 300 I have so far this cycle.

(4,297 posts)My personal experience is 4 out of the 5 candidates for whom I sent postcards won their races. I know it's anecdotal, but that's the tally so far.
It's very easy. You are provided with the names, addresses, and messaging. All you add is the personal touch and postage. I know it's a minor contribution, but I felt wonderful doing it.

We meet Fridays 5 to 7 with wine & cheese.
We throw in $10 each week for the cards and postage.
