to hook a group of people (of various political leanings) up to the gadget that illuminates the part of the brain that is engaged by stimuli. Then, have them watch segments of the highest rated cable news pundits discussing the same issue/topic.

Let's see what the picture would show.

I suspect that, universally, those watching hannity, cavato and o'reilly will show activation in the lower functioning part of the brain that are associated with fear; whereas, those watching, say RM, will show higher activation in the higher functioning part of the brain, associated with analysis.

But I could be wrong.
