Louie Gohmert takes bold pro-'lunatic' stance

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/12/05/1167520/-Rep-Louie-Gohmert-takes-bold-pro-lunatic-stance

There were 398 yeas, and one opposed:

The House voted on Wednesday to strike the word "lunatic" from all federal laws and only one lawmaker voted against the measure: Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas).

It was unclear initially why the Tea Party favorite opposed the change, and a Gohmert spokeswoman did not return a request for comment. The point of the bill, which cleared the Senate in May with no opposition, is to strike language from current law that contributes to the stigmatization of mental health conditions.

you'd think he would want to get rid of the word in laws. I wince every time I see him and his thousand-yard stare just like I wince when I see Bachmann and her thousand-yard stare.

I cannot imagine how any voter voted to re-elect him if they watched the segment where Anderson Cooper tried to ask him reasonable questions and Gohmert melted down in rage.

it was about terror babies, Anderson struggling not to laugh, and Gohmert angrily and out of nowhere accusing Anderson of mocking his Texas accent. good stuff.
